Screwing into exterior walls

I'm thinking of putting some towel rods in my class C, to be connected to the wall the bathroom shares with the exterior. My 4 year old unit is constructed of that RV composite multi-layered material (whatever the inside is, foam, fiberglass exterior).

Can anyone suggest what kind of screws and/or anchors to use in this case? Thanks in advance.

I would use the type of screw that has the plastic insert that you plug into the hole first. I have used them in my class A with that same wall construction. Drill the holes such that it takes a slight tap to set the plug all of the way in so that it is flush with the wall.

That works pretty good if there is nothing (solid) behind the wall. If you luck out and find a stud, a regular wood screw works better.
