Secure Tie Down for Microwave and TV

[Dale] We recently purchased a 17&#039 travel trailer as our entry into trailer traveling. The unit has a shelf that is described as an entertainment shelf. The problem is it has no constraints and I have tried nonskid pads, tie down straps, and a few other attempts with no success.

ANY THOUGHTS FROM MORE SEASONED TRAVELERS?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

[Jim M] Hi Joe: Agree with the other responses. Additional comment: that shelf is probably not fastened to the wall all that well either and probably would break with the load in time if you succeded in a more permanent mount. I put mine under the table on the carpet when traveling. Seems to ride nice there protected by carpeting underneith and the couch in front. I also put it forward with the tube against the couch to protect it in case of hard braking.
