skyline rv toyhaulers

I own a skyline toyhauler model 281 two axle. I had a tire blow out due to the leaf spring hanger bolts rubbing on my tire and it just grooved through the tire. I looked at all the other tires and sure enough all 4 tires have grooves due to a manufacture defect. I have only 1/2" of clearance between the tire and the bolts on each tire. There should be at least 1 1/2" of clearance. I have looked at other trailer and all of them had 2" of clearence so they will never have this problem. This could of been a major accident due to the manufacture defect.
If any one has a skyline or any other travel trailer just take a minute and look for this possible problem it could stop a possible accident.

Tony, welcome to the forum! Thanks for taking the time to post about your experience.

You are absolutely right. Everyone should get down on the pavement at least once a season, and just look around on the underside of your RV. You might save yourself (and others) a lot of time.
