South Padre/Port Isabel Texas Area

Hey all, gonna be heading to Southeast Texas next winter and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to a good RV park in subject area? We would really like to be actually on South Padre Island (see other comments below on the two parks there). We have sent in temporary reservations at Park Center at Port Isabel, but it may be a little further than we want to be from the gulf coast. Friends suggested a couple...Traveler's and Pelican. I found Traveler's but cannot find "Pelican" park. Anyone heard of Pelican? WE know about Destination but a little too expensive and Isla Blanc (but already booked for next winter and they don't take reservations). Help.... :)  ;)

Archer, there is an RV park on Padre Island (not South) around Corpus Christi / Port Aransas that is kind of nice looking (although flat) if you don't want to go all the way south. We drove through a couple months ago and saw quite a few "snowbirds" camped out. Take a boardwalk over the dunes to the beach.
