Tire/Wheel Question

My Sportsman has 15" tires on it, and was wandering if anyone knows if the rims are the same as Chevy 6 bolt rims. I think they measure 6.5" on center with approximately 4.5" center hub. They are Al Ko axles, but I can't find that bolt pattern on their website. I am thinking if they are the same going to a 16" tire/wheel combo. Thanks

All 6 bolt trailer wheels are the same bolt pattern. But your trucks wheels are probably not rated as high as trailer wheels are. Truck wheels just have to basicly go straight. Trailers are scuffed sideways in a tight turn. Most truck wheels cannot take the pressures. They will for a while of course, but when you need them, they could crack at the bolt pattern.

Thanks Ken. I did not know there was a difference between car wheels and trailer wheels. I know the tires are not the same, but didn't know this about the wheels. Good info!!:):)

OH yes, If you can look at a new wheel, without a tire on it there will be a label inside the rim (hidden by the tire) stating the load rating. Trailer wheels are rated much higher.
