Toad recommendations

[Gary B] Hi Gary K, first you have to decide if you want to tow using a dolly or a tow bar (called towing 4 down). Using a dolly can be slightly cheaper, you can tow most any front wheel drive vehicle, you can change vehicles with no changes to the dolly, and a lot of (but not all) dollys have brakes and lights on them, the down side is hitching up takes longer, you have to hook up the dolly, than load the vehicle, then secure the vehicle and the dolly, and storage of the dolly can be a problem. A tow bar is easier and quicker to hook up, you have no storage problems, down side, not all vehicles can be towed 4 down, manual trannys are easest, some autos canbe some not, changing vehicles usually means new base plate etc. you need some kind of light system, once you are set up it is pretty simple, you may want to check these sites, www.towingworld.com, www.towbrake.com, www.brakebuddy.com, www.rvtowing.com, plus the good sam site has imfrom. on towing, hope this helps happy trails GB

[Gordo Myers] If you are looking at new, the Ford Focus manual 5 speed is very good from my own experience. Only 2550 pounds and you hardly know it&#039s back there. Towing World has all of the necessary hardware to set it up.
