I have search the web over and over and have contacted all the parts stores in my area and no one carries a screw on filter for this transmission. I find this very hard to believe as these have been on the market now for three years. Does any one have a make a part number or even better a supplier I can order them from? :bleh:

I am at the point that I need to change the oil in my Allison 1000 as well (should be done every 25,000 mi). Just did a search in google, here's a link I found: transmissioncenter.net/Allison1000.htm . This site has the filter listed as part number 86F, about 1/2 way down the page. Good luck.
