TV Reception

What is the best/cheapest way to get good TV reception in campgrounds that don't have cable TV? We have an antenna on top of our new 5th wheel and usually get only one channel. Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi Wanda1, welcome to the forum, have you turned on the ampifier(the switch located on the wall plate where you connect the ant coax, a red or green LED light will be on whenits on. We get many channels when they are availble. Hope this helps

Thanks Gary. We did turn on the little switch (red light). Being disabled without TV is the pits.

I would imagine that being disabled even with the TV would be unpleasant as well...

Also, the antenna has to be raised into position and rotated for the strongest signal for each channel. If this is difficult for you, you may be able to have a fixed, omnidirectional antenna installed instead of the crank up one. I don't know if anyone has a power antenna, but would probably be somewhat expensive.
