just off the I-87 Exit 35 there is Iroquois Camp ground just a mile off the exit and is a great place to spend the nite or to rest a few days

Another nice campground in Upstate, NY is Shady Oaks RV Park in Plattsburgh. Take I-87 (Northway) take exit 39N if you're traveling from Canada. If you're traveling from the South, take exit 39 to STOP sign, left over the interstate highway, 1/4 mile on the right. Quiet, beautiful shady trees or sunny sites. Very close to Lake Champlain beach, boat launch and all commerce, yet in a lovely rural country setting. Has many amenities. See their website at www.shadyoaksrvpark.com
