Verizon Wireless in Montreal?

My wife and I are planning a trip to Montreal for this coming summer. Anyone had any experience with using the Verizon wireless card for internet access there?

I'm thinking if it works, roaming charges are prohibitive..

My brother-in-law lives in Blaine, WA. He travels to BC often. He just switched to AT&T because the Version cell service was too poor. :blackeye: I do not know if the wireless card would be the same. :question:
