Where would I find my converter?

Last night I was sleeping and I was waken by a loud pop and smelt something burnt. All of my electricity was out and nothing was popped in my switchbox. I was told it could be a converter problem?
I really don't know much about electrical problems. Please HELP!!! :disapprove:

Where would I find my converter?

It should be fairly close to the breaker/fuse panel. Mine is under the Kitchen sink. I've heard of 1 person who said his was under the bed.

When you say 'all my electricity' do you mean 12v DC? 120v AC? Both?
None of the 120v breakers were popped, but did you check the 12V fuse panel to see if any of them are blown?
