windshield

well I notice today that we now have a chipped windshield from our passed trip. I have a split windshield and was wandering if it would be possible to replace it with a solid view windshield? I got a repair guy coming out to repair the windshield tomorrow, but was just thinking out loud. any thought out there?

Hollis, it seems like it would be cheaper to repair a split windshield than a full solid one.

Same deductible on insurance but insurance probably won't pay to replace withsingle w/s.
