Winterizing Ref. Holding Tanks.

Hi

A RV Tech will be winterizing my RV. After cleaning
out my holding tanks I left them one fourth full.

Was that correct?

Not sure what the by-pass valve looks like on the
water tank.

Good Morning Fred, you sure are up early.

The RV tech should be able to show you where the bypass valve is. If not, run him off and find someone whose knows.

As far as the tanks, I always leave my tanks empty during the storage period. :)

Yes, tanks need to be empty during the winter. The valves are on the back of the water heater. Some compaines use 3 valves and some use one valve with a check valve. Any "tech"can figure it out.

Fred, I also drain my tanks. Just remember to sanatize them before using in the spring. I agree if the tech can't show you the bypass he either knows and want tell because he is afraid you will start doing it yourself. Either way if he want run from him. JMO
