Greetings,
i'm living in Belgium - Europe.

I'm planning my 3 months trip, starting October.
I just purchased a second-hand class C RV in LA for my trip.

It's been 20 years sinds my last RV holiday experiance in the USA.
It would be nice to meet a RV traveler on my arrival in LA,
who can help me a little with info and recomandations etc...

You can always contact me lucmagnus@yahoo.com

Any help as yet? We will not be anywhere near LA at that time but would be most happy to help you in any way that we can.

Do you as yet have an address to register the RV to? You will need to have an address in whichever state that you choose to register and license the RV in. Each state has slightly different laws on this subject so it can be important. The cost to do so also varies widely and California is one of the most expensive states to do this in.

Thanks for your message, Kirk !
You'r the first to answer me... ;)

I'm a nature-lover and would like to visit the many National Parks once again !
I'm not crazy abouth places like Las Vegas or so...
But San Francisco is a must see again city for me !

So in BIG lines i'm planning to drive from LA up North to San-Francisco,
driving the Ocean-drive, and diverting towards the National Parks on the way.
Of course Yosemite, Yellowstone and Sequoia are in the project.
From SF towards Lake Tahoe... and then towards the East...

(I have great memories abouth a 3-day rafting-trip from Moab on the Colorado River,
but that's a looooong time ago... in the late '70... )

I'm a little info- empty regarding the rest of my trip ...
Where to go... what to see ...
I know that points of interest vary a lot from person to person,
but i think that positif experiences regarding the nature, animals (not in a zoo like San Diego, but in the wild) should been similar for us "humans"...

The RV is already registred to a friend's name,
and i will registrate the RV on my name once i'm in Florida.
As my friend did one year ago when he buy the RV in Fort Lauderdale ...
I don't know why, but Florida makes registration very easy for foreigners...

I understand that Oregon is the only state who das not charge taxes on registration...
Strange system, those different taxes and rules in the different states from a same country...
So you should understand the "little politic problems" whe have here in Belgium...
Between the Flamish and the French speaking Belgiums...

Just looking at your time frame and it DOES NOT fit the northern or high elevation parks. October is the start of snow season(lots of snow and cold temps) not just a few inch's. With that in mind there are enough Parks and beauty to keep you for at least 2 years in the SW where temps will be warn or at least moderate.

We have spent the last two winters 3-4 months each in SE Ca. Arizona and New Mexico low country and have half of Az to see yet. Out of SF I would head to northern Nevada to Utah then as weather goes head South Many Many state and federal parks to see.
