Where do we fill our 30 pound lp tanks on the road. Every place we stop they only have 20 pound tanks. Is there a national franchise that we can look for as we are traveling to fill our tanks?

While on the road there are literally 100's of places to fill the tanks. You do not have to exchange tanks you can fill them/have them filled. You can either leave them on the RV or take them to the fill point. Truck stops,RV parks, RV sales and servicing, propane delivery services, and in some RV parks there will be a truck come around every now and then to fill. Since you appear to be new RV'ers you will need a good campground catalog and while listing the campgrounds they list the available services. Unless you travel in cold weather and use your furnace a bunch the propane will go a long way running the fridge and stove and hot water.
