allison mn3000 engine brake downshift?

Allisonman... How do i reprogram the trans to not downshift when engine brake is used. I would like to downshift it manulaly.

From metalman...Went to valley GM in fresno..they reprogramed my trans to preslect 5th gead instead of 2nd. Much better can also manuly downshift it......

What did they charge for the reprogram? That sounds sweet, seems so much of the time I would like a higher gear for the brake.

never mind.......I just noticed you did get it reprogrammed. It takes the Allison reprogramming tool/software to do that.

LEN.... Valley GMC/ALLISON charged me $200.00. They also told me that it would be no charge if i didnot like it set to 5th gear and would like to change it again. Seems to work good, it preselcts 5th gear and you can manualy downshift it fron there. If you have any questions just ask... Thanks for your intrest... Metalman...
