Battery charging

My 5er has the standard 2 12v batteries in parallel set up. Was wondering if you can hook up a battery charger and charge both batteries at the same time? Hook the + lead from the charger to the + of one battery and the - lead of the charger to the - terminal of the 2nd battery?

Your converter charges both when wired that way, so I don't see why a regular charger would not do it.

Along the same line...

Any recommendations for a solar powered battery charger? Where I store mine is not easily accessible to shore power.

A constant charge is not good for a battery so be sure that your solar charger has a charge controller.
