The Electric heating element on an Atwood is located on the backside of the heater, or the inside of the coach. Usually the devil to get to and makes a mess if you don't remove the heater from the coach. I have an Atwood in my trailer, but I like Suburban better because the element is on the outside and water drains outside when you have to service the element.
