House Batteries, overcharging

    When hooked up to shore power, how can one tell
    if the two 6 volt house batteries are being over-charged?

    The charging voltage should be about 13.5 volts. Check the electrolyte level once a week or so for a while. If you need to add water often that is an indication the batteries are being over charged.
