Needing Help: Can I tow a 30ft Fleetwood

Hi I have a half ton 350 chevy truck. I have a Break box and a weight disabution hitch. The camper I am looking to buy is a 1991 fleetwood that weights 7000lbs

I am needing to know if my chvy truck can pull this camper safely before I buy it? I have been doing reseach but can not find the answer I am looking for.

Hello and Welcome,

Are you sure the trailer weights exactly 7,000? Sounds to me that could by your GVWR. (Two 3,500lb. axles) The trailer weight is almost never such an even number. The actual weight will be on a label inside the trailer, usually in kitchen cabinets. You are looking for UVW (unit vehicle weight). Let us know.

I've got a 5.3L Chevy Tahoe, and it's rated at 7400. Most of the 350 chevy pickups are rated at around 7000.

I was told to stay well under that max for the GVWR of the trailer.
