Hello everyone.
I'm new to rving. I'm looking at purchasing a 07' Forest River Sand Piper 40' with triple slide toy hauler. I'll be purchasing it from a dealer in my home state of California. I found it on the dealer web site with pictures, but I have not seen it in person because its an 8 hour drive. The unit is a bank repo and the salesman says its in like new condition and everything works. the only thing its missing is the tv sets. I made an offer of 23,950 that was accepted. I will be towing it with a 06 Dodge 2500 diesel crew cab and I have a 5 inch lift and 35in. tires.
So my questions are:
1. Does this sound like a fair price?
2. Is this a quality RV?
3. Should I have any concerns with my tow vehicle?
4. I don't have a 5th hitch yet. What is a good one?
5. Would air bags be recommended for the rear suspension of my truck?
All of your suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Heath
