Overhead bunk

Just wondering if any one else has had this problem with their over head drop down bunk? I have a 35ft. Coachman Mirada 2018, and last night while we were sleeping, the bunk decided to, all on its own, raise back up, the problem with that was my son was in the bunk. I heard him barely holler out, when I got up to check I found him squished up to the ceiling and could not move. Luckily he was on his side and did not suffocate. How does this even happen, no safeties to prevent this? Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen
