Propane Tank almost full, but stove/fridge don't work.

I am new to RVing, so excuse me if this is a commonly asked question. I searched and could not find an answer.

I have used my TT twice now. It is a recently purchased 2006 Travel-Lite. Both times, after a day or two of use, the propane devices stop working. I switch over to the 2nd tank, and everything is fine. I take the tank that was 'emptied' to be refilled, only to find that only a few gallons are gone. I put the tank back on after refill, and it works fine.

Any ideas?
