Purchasing an RV

Hello. New to the game. Just started shopping. Looking for a "luxury" class C - Dynamax, Haulmark, etc. There are some seemingly great deals on the web, but the units have been sitting on the lot for 2 or more years. Question 1) How much of a problem is that? Question 2) How much horse power is the minimum for a unit with a GVW of 60,000 lbs?

Tires are already 2 plus yr old. Even new units can leak. You need a lot of horses and a lot of torque for that weight. Min 325

Hi. Thanks for you reply. I guess it would be a super class C - a Haulmark rig, 44' long; actual GVR is around 56,000 lbs.

Nice units! I would say not all that much of a problem but I would inspect as a used unit rather than new(don't over look anything). I would spec fluid change on the whole rig, all fluids. A lot of rigs set for two years before purchase.
