Towing Questions

I'm looking to tow a 2010 Tundra (full sized p/u) with a full sized Harley in the the pickup bed behind my newly aquired (never owned a M/H) coach - pusher. What is the best way to do this? Vehicle tow? Trailer? I will consider all options to get my Tundra or Harley at the destination.

http://www.remcotowing.com/vehicles is a starting point. It depends on if your truck is a 2x4 or a 4x4. I've seen Harleys on a hydraulic lift on the back ends of some. Some also haul them in enclosed trailers. The downside of trailers is that you've got to park them somewhere and many campgrounds don't have extra parking. You'd also need to consider your total length.

That's a big rig and a lot of weight. Make sure your MH is able to tow it.

Hi Ace and welcome to the RVUSA Forum. Check out motorhome magazine's website for their "Dinghy Towing Guide" ( http://www.motorhomemagazine.com/) It should let you know of you can tow your pickup 4-down or if you will need a trailer. Also the owner's manual shoudl state if it can be towed or must be trailered. I wish I had your bike, but I guess I should be happy with my Suzuki Boulevard.:):)
