trailer for Subaru Outbook

I'm looking for a light weight simple trailer 6-8 ft long to sleep 2 people that I can tow with my Subaru Outback (2.5 l engine- 1000 lbs without brakes, 2700 lbs with brakes). I live in the NW where there is a lot of rain.

Questions: tent trailer vs fold up? I heard mold is a problem with tent trailers
Chalet vs Aliner or other recommended brands-pros and cons.

Can anyone help?
Thanks

I do not know about 6-8 feet long, look at Grandview's site, he sells Aliners

Hi Susan and welcome to the RVUSA Forum. I can't think of anything that small other than some tent trailers made to tow behind a motorcycle. You could look at Casita trailers. Their smallest is 13 feet long but is within your weight limits.

Hope this helps some. Post back and let us know how you do. :) :)

Susan, The A-liner would be your answer, but they are made in PA. Chalet is made in Oregon. They pretty much make the same trailer and would fit the bill.

How about a tab? or an older Scamp? Both should do ok behind the Subie! Good luck and safe travels!!

You could handle them also, but I have one customer towing an Expedition with a Subaru, so I know you can tow them too.
