paint protection

We bought a TT with fiberglass siding and were wondering if the spray on protector the dealer wants to sell us is worth the $1100 it costs. Is it as good as waxing it?Does it make it easier to clean? We live on the west coast where mildew is a concern.

Re: paint protection

Hi Dan and welcome to the RVUSA Forum. Just my opinion but I wouldn't shell out $1100 for a maybe spray-on paint protectorant. It seems like your dealer is trying to pad his account at your expense - just like car dealers used to do with all their unnecessary add-ons. But, I'm a cynical old man. It could be the best thing since sliced bread, but I'll stick with a good wash and wax made for automobiles and use it at least twice a year.

There are specially labeled RV protectorants that you can get at any RV supply store (including Walmart) that don't cost anything like $1100.

Anyway, welcome to the forum. Post back and let us know how it goes. :) :)
