My husband and I bought an Everest fifth wheel 18 months ago to live in while building our home. We shared a house and only used it as a bedroom. We planned to trade down afterwards for a trailer, but ... it seems it is not worth what we paid for it (so say the dealers) and now we are stuck with it. So, ... we are looking for a truck to pull it. The fifth wheel is about 10,000 lbs. Would a 3/4 ton pull it or would we need a 1 ton? We are thinking of buying an older truck as we have several thousand $$'s in the RV already and probably won't go too far until we are used to rving. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
