Question first, what chassis do you have? There are some things that will help but just what depends. If you have one of the P-30 chassis from GM then you may also need to adjust the air pressure in the front air bags that are inside of the coil springs. They are also well known for leaking air so you could need to replace them. Most chassis of that era can benefit from one of the many steering stabilizers and you can find differing opinions as to which is best. I suspect that in reality, the best is different for the Ford chassis than for the GM.
