We are traveling to Big Bend State and National parks the last week of Oct 2024. We have a reservation at the Roadrunner RV Park for a week. We want to take two days from PHX to get there and back so looking suggestions on where to stay around El Paso, as that is about halfway. Also looking for advice on what to see and do. We will have our two dogs with us, so that is a consideration. Neither of us are into hiking a lot, short enjoyable walks are good. Mostly going for the dark sky aspect as my wife and I really enjoy watching the night sky. This is not something we can do much here in Phoenix Hopefully there will be swimming places for the dogs, maybe a day trip to the Gulf of Mexico if it is not too far
